Info on Bodrums Key attraction

St Peters Castle, at the centre of Bodrums twin harbours, dominates the city. The castle houses the Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum. Here, various shipwrecks have been reassembled for display and occupy several buildings in the castle. In the chapel, the East Roman Ship dates from the 7th century AD. The disheveled remains of the Mausoleum, one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World, are also located in Bodrum.

Leisure Options

Bodrums nightlife is vibrant, with all-night parties organised by club owners. Bar Street is lit by a laser show from the Halikarnas Night Club and is a popular nightspot. During the summer months, the harbour becomes full of hundreds of wooden gullets offering trips to the nearby islands or for the Mavi Yoluculu (Blue Cruise) - a romanticised weeklong journey along the coastlines of the Mediterranean.

Safety

Although the city is relatively safe, you should be cautious when exploring Bodrum and the surround area. Visitors are more prone to accidents when in an unfamiliar environment and on holiday. When visiting Bodrum, we strongly recommend you take out travel insurance for you and your family.
